UNEP Awarded Fauji Cement
United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) has awarded Fauji Cement Company with Certificate of Participation for contribution to “Plant the Planet: Billion Tree Campaign” For Planting Trees & Catalyzing Environmental Action In the Service of the Earth and for the benefit of humankind. The Certificate by an International Organization like United Nations, is acknowledgment to sustainable environmental measures by FCCL Management and the employees.



Fauji Cement wins Tournament

Fauji Cement came from Behind to win the Pakistan Day Bridge Tournament here at Islamabad Club, says a press release (Daily News sports page no 20 dated 25/03/2011).

As many as 10 teams from Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Abbottabad participated in the keenly contested tournament.

Trees Plantation Campaign
As a responsible Corporate Citizen, Fauji Cement launched “Trees’ Plantation Campaign 2011” for children of local vicinity schools. A large number of trees were planted by the children and employees of FCCL. Children were also briefed over Effects of Tree Plantation on the environment. Member of civil society, environment protection agency, local media and employees of FCCL participated in the campaign.

   

5th National CSR Awards
Fauji Cement Company Limited has won 5th National CSR Awards held in Karachi on January 13, 2011. The award is in recognition of steps taken by Fauji Cement Company Limited, fulfilling its Corporate Social Responsibility. The competition was organized by CSR Association of Pakistan.
 
Fauji Cement Head Office Moved
This is to notify that Head Office of Fauji Cement Company Limited has been shifted and started functioning in Block III, Fauji Tower, Rawalpindi from 15th November 2010.
Environmental Excellence Award 2010
Fauji Cement Company Limited has been presented with Environmental Excellence Award 2010 as recognition of its pro active approach and concrete measures in favor of sustainable environment.
 
FCCL Donation to Flood Victims
FCCL has donated relief goods worth 2.2 million weighing 30 tons and Rupees 16 million in cash as donation to PM RELIEF FUND for our brothers and sisters in need.
 
 

 
Environment Management System
In recognition to Well defined procedures and implementation of pro active measures for sustainable environment, FCCL has been certified for latest Environmental Management System ISO14001:2004 by Moody International for next 03 years.
Quality Management System
• FCCL has been awarded with upgraded Quality Management System- ISO 9001; 2008 certification
• FCCL arranged a workshop on Environmental Management System for employees with reference to World Environmental Day (WED 2010) on 05th June 2010. Certificate distribution ceremony was held at the plant.

New Captive Power Plant

16.3 MW dual fired (Gas + Oil) Wartsilla power plant has been commissioned on 21st of May 2010 & is operating successfully.
Installation of New Line 7200 TPD

To meet the future challenges of Cement Industry and Country's future demand, FCCL has planned to install a new line of production with an installed capacity of 7200 tons clinker per day in parallel with the existing line.
 
     - Erection & Commissioning of New Line with a Production capacity of 7200 TPD has been completed and Plant has started its production on 30th May 2011. The Plant is equipped with latest and state of the art equipment and is a great value addition in Pakistan Cement Industry. Major Equipment Suppliers are;

a. POLYSIUS Germany
b. LOESCHE GmBH Germany (Vertical Cement Mills)
c. Havor & Boecker Germany (Packing Plant)
d. ABB Switzerland (Electrical Equipment & PLC)

Contract for civil design, civil works of whole plant, local parts fabrication, erection and commissioning was signed with M/s Descon Engineering Limited. Civil works, Mechanical & Electrical erection work has been completed. The plant has been completely commissioned & has started its production on 30th May , 2011.
Captive Power Plant
6 MW power plant has been commissioned in the month of July 2007 and is operating successfully.
